What is a Pergola?

It’s basically a type of gazebo and as such, it’s considered to be a feature for the garden. Not to be confused with green tunnels, pergolas are a structure that have vertical pillars that form together to support an open lattice and cross beams. This structure provides the garden with a shaded pathway.

In a lot of cases, it’s also used as a link between pavilions. A lot of homeowners also use it to attach an outside pool to the door.
